Smart solutions fitting the attic

Bridges houses remain, often spaces "death" or used for storage, serve as warehouses. But if you see the potential, you can exploit so as to become fully functional rooms.

The picture inside the attic of a house situated in a semi-central district of Bucharest. Planning concept was developed by architect George Tatulea and is based on the idea of modern space, airy and functional.

Attic, with an area of 100 square meters, consists of: hall, bathroom (with shower), living area, a large bedroom and a small bedroom. Its surface was harnessed to the maximum, so as to meet all requirements of functionality. Both the living area and bedroom were equipped with desk, letting residents the opportunity to work from home.

Using a metal structure, you could cut the bucket in the center of the roof, yielding a pillarless space center / interior. All roof loads are again mounted on metal frames. For places to enjoy the natural light was chosen sloping roof windows.

A novel idea was to create storage spaces in the wall (the bottom of the roof), which take the form of drawers. This solution was offered both for aesthetic and practical: it's not necessary to include closets for storing clothes. The rooms are more spacious and airy.
